Apparantly, the new buzz in gaming (new because I just came across it) is about how Sony hired some ad company to fake a fan site for the PSP. It created such a stir at the Something Awful forums that now pretty much everyone knows. Penny Arcade has their own take on things too. Go to the links if you want the low-down on things. Me, well, I really don't care much anymore. The whole PS3 thing had already disillusioned me towards Sony in general anyway, so this new bit of controversy doesn't faze me much.
Am I adding to the press that, despite being mostly negative, is now putting the involved ad company and Sony on everyone's lips, minds, blogs, and other means of communication? Yeah, probably. Do I care? No. I got nothing else to write about right now.
I already have the PSP anyway. I wanted it because I wanted to play Valkyrie Profile, since it's nigh to impossible to get the PS1 version. That's really the main reason. But Loco Roco, Mega Man Powered Up, and Gitaroo Man Lives are worth having it for. And I plan to get Daxter soon. And there seems to be some promising RPGs that will come out at some point (at least if they bring them over from Japan). So for now, I'll hang on to my PSP. Maybe at some point they'll finally start making some good games, instead of just one good game out of every ten that comes out. Worse comes to worse, I'll trade it in or sell it off, then get a DS. If DS comes out with a game that will really wow me.
